Mosquito

Last night after dinner we saw a mosquito in our room. Immediately, Kim went into panic mode. When we (Kim) tried killing it, it went away, fearing for its life.

We kept Caleb in the car seat, covered with the net. That only worked until 2:45AM, at which point he proceeded to scream his lungs out. 3oz of water didn't help, and neither did our (Mathieu's) original attempt at a compromise.

I then decided to have him on my chest so he could sleep. So that worked. What didn't work was the a/c in the room (and I suppose in the hotel, since we were 9 of the hotel's 20 guests), which we reckoned (love that word) was kept really high. So after a few minutes of sleep, this sweet kid turned into a ball of fire sleeping on the chest of his natural heat-producing father.

So, in typical Evon-Kouame relentless pursuit of compromise, we built him a cosy net. Needless to say, he slept through all of this.

The a/c seems to be back up...wondering how the Coulibalys are dealing with this whole a/c situation (they need it north-pole like, for those who don't know them).
