Building a School

Today we went to the outskirts of Abidjan to visit the site of the school that Yves parents are building......okay well let me say that I was excited to see it but didnt know that the trip there involved traveling on unpaved dirt roads that were bumpy and filled with plenty of big puddles from yesterdays rain. lets just say the drive there was like an amusement park ride.....but we all made it in one piece...we did see a big truck that was not so fortunate...stuck and there were men trying to take its load of sand off of it so they could get the truck out.  The school is going to be finished in approx. 3 years.....eventually it will be kindergarten to high school with a boarding dormitory for the girls. right now the junior high/high school is almost complete as well as the administration building some students will be starting in the fall and it will increase enrollment as the construction is completed.....Yves and I were told to save our money so we can contribute to the building fund!  i am also supposed to get ready to be an administrator at this school one day in the future!......okay my teacher friends.....the class size at this school will be much smaller than any other schools here....40 pupils in one class.  i will post pictures later of the school...  adis
